Diamond Princess began operation in March 2004 and primarily cruises in Alaska during the summer and the Mexican Riviera in the winter. She has the capacity to carry 2.670 passengers and is one of Princess Cruises Grand Class vessels.

There are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from as well as stylish lounges and places to relax the days away. After dinner you can take in an original Broadway or Las Vegas style show in the large theatre. At night there is the casino and dance clubs to keep night owls amused.
There is no shortage of things to do in the day either. There are four swimming pools on board along with a nine-hole mini-golf course, golf simulators and an internet café. More sedate pursuits include visiting the art gallery, shopping in the Atrium or taking in a spot of reading in the library.
