Diamond Princess

Diamond Princess began operation in March 2004 and primarily cruises in Alaska during the summer and the Mexican Riviera in the winter. She has the capacity to carry 2.670 passengers and is one of Princess Cruises Grand Class vessels.

This impressive cruise liner sails to some wonderful destinations including Alaska, Canada, China, Australia, New Zealand, the Far East and the Mexican Riviera.

Diamond Princess’s accommodation is luxury personified. Each of her 740 balcony staterooms is like a five-star hotel room, and there is service to match, including 24 hour room service and chocolates on the pillow.

Princess Cruises say that Diamond Princess is one of their most innovative ships and that is easy to believe judging by the onboard activities and amenities. Personal choice cruising is taken to a new level on this floating resort. This is exemplified at meal time when passengers can choose to dine in a manner that suits them. They have a choice of Casual Dining, Traditional Dining, Anytime Dining and Speciality Dining.

The ship has everything a top class land based resort would have to offer and more. There are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from as well as stylish lounges and places to relax the days away. After dinner you can take in an original Broadway or Las Vegas style show in the large theatre. At night there is the casino and dance clubs to keep night owls amused.

There is no shortage of things to do in the day either. There are four swimming pools on board along with a nine-hole mini-golf course, golf simulators and an internet café. More sedate pursuits include visiting the art gallery, shopping in the Atrium or taking in a spot of reading in the library.

Diamond Princess has something for everyone and she really is the jewel in the crown for Princess Cruises.
